Healing process of microblading

Updated: Jul 9, 2023

Permanent MakeUp is a type of treatment that consists of pigmenting the skin through semi-permanent and hyper-realistic techniques of the eyebrows, in which the shape of the eyebrows is calculated according to the anatomy of the face and the golden ratio.

This is how the eyebrows change during the skin regeneration process after the procedure.
How the eyebrows change during the skin regeneration after Microblading

The technique is intended for all people over 18 years of age who want to correct aesthetic defects of the eyebrows or accentuate the design and shape. These concepts and the detailed care for pre and post treatment apply to all the different Micropigmentation procedures, be it Microblading, Nano, Microshading, ComboBrows or Ombre powder brows as well as Lip Tattoo Blush, Eyeliner. These are different techniques within the permanent makeup industry.

Pre and Post Treatment Care

The first step in the recovery process is after 30 minutes of treatment, gently clean the eyebrows with wipes (of distilled water) without rubbing the eyebrows. In this way, the excess lymph is eliminated so as not to form a crust that is destructive to the color. Repeat this cleansing 3 times a day for the first 2 days. From the second day the cream is applied three times a day for 1 week.

Only in the next 2 days is it necessary to rinse or clean the eyebrows because the lymph will come out for up to approximately 48 hours after the procedure, and lubrication is also n

ecessary 3 times a day. The eyebrows cannot be wet during washing and bathing during the first week of the procedure.

For clients with very oily skin, care (rinsing and lubrication) is recommended only for the first 2 days, while in the following days it is not necessary to apply any ointment or cream.

NOTE: I give you the aftercare after treatment and tell you how to use it.

What to avoid during permanent makeup recovery

  • For the first 7 days, avoid all creams, all makeup (foundations) in the brow area. Avoid exercises that cause abnormal sweating, saunas, facial massage, and inhalation.

For the next 30 days avoid

  • Sunbathing, solarium, light (laser) therapies, chemical peeling, acetic acids, microdermabrasion, creams containing regeneration factors.

  • Always avoid laser treatments on the treated area during the recovery period (Fraxel laser, IPL) because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.

  • Protect your eyebrows from the sun the first 30 days after the procedure.

Important

  • Remember not to scratch the area if you feel itchy... This is a normal consequence of healing. Try to relieve the area with small touches with your previously clean fingers wrapped in sterile gauze.

  • Avoid wetting or touching your eyebrows with makeup removers during your daily facial cleansing routine and do not apply makeup to the eyebrow area until the 30 days have passed.

  • During the first week of treatment, try not to be under the shower for more than 15 continuous minutes so that the steam does not affect the pigmentation process of the eyebrows.

  • Do not touch your eyebrows with your fingers without having previously sanitized your hands.

  • Wait patiently and happily for the final effect that your eyebrows will reveal as the healing days go by... however, you can lead a normal life taking into account the necessary care in order to obtain the best results of color retention in your eyebrows.
